My name is Joanna, but since childhood my nickname has been Joey. I am an Artist from York Pennsylvania, and Only1joey Art is my brand of one of a kind paintings and craft explorations.

I began my professional art journey in 2011 attending Temple University Tyler School of Art. Graduating in 2015 and later I acquired my first shared studio space in downtown York, PA in August of 2019.

Since that jumping point, I seek out opportunities to Plein Air paint and showcase my art. I love painting at live events such as weddings and work events. I’ve grown to love teaching as well, when I began teaching Kindergarten through 6th graders Art, in 2024, at a local school. The joy of watching students explore new mediums has pushed me in a play and enjoyment mindset when creating my own work.

My journey of being an Artist is filled with hope to invite fun, color, nostalgia, positivity, and self-guided interpretation in my work.

I am inspired by the joy of everyday life: friends, travels, interests, and requests by patrons. I strive to create and play! To bring more color to the world and bring whatever I can dream up to life on a canvas. My goal is to make the world more “Joey-ful” through art.
